As a long-term retail partner of Dorel Juvenile, Tchai designed and delivered the in-store retail experience for the Maxi-Cosi 360 Family Pro. The project centred on showcasing the 360° rotating car seat with slide-out technology through a high-impact flagship unit and a scalable retail system developed for European rollout, fully aligned with the renewed Maxi-Cosi retail framework and adaptable across different store formats and sizes.
Starting in the Discover phase, Tchai dived into the product’s technical functionality to translate innovation into intuitive, hands-on retail interaction. Multiple design variants were developed, clearly distinguishing between a fully immersive flagship experience and a compact, modular solution. A full-scale prototype was tested in-store for several weeks, with insights directly shaping the final outcome: a fixed flagship unit combined with a flexible display system engineered for scalability, easy updates and consistent brand presentation across Europe.
The two-tier solution allows customers to physically experience the 360° rotation and slide-out feature, making the innovation instantly clear and building purchase confidence at the point of sale. Sales performed 40% above budget, driven by immersive interaction, increased consumer engagement and stronger brand loyalty. By combining deep product understanding with modular retail design, Tchai translated complex innovation into a clear, compelling and commercially effective retail experience — consistently and at scale.
